I feel it too

I’m afraid it won’t work.

I’m afraid it will work (and THEN what do I do?).

I’m afraid it’s too late and I’m too old.

I’m afraid I’ll run out of money.

I’m afraid my ideas aren’t good enough.

I’m afraid I’ll be wrong.

I’m afraid I’ll say the wrong thing.

I’m afraid of what people will think.

I’m afraid no one will care.

I’m afraid I don’t know how.

I’m afraid I’ll disappoint others.

I’m afraid I’ll disappoint myself.

I’m afraid my mind will go blank.

I’m afraid I’ll look stupid.

I’m afraid I’ll fail.

These are thoughts that run through my mind on an almost daily (sometimes hourly) basis.

Yet to look at me and to see my work, you may not realize it. (I do a really good job of looking calm and collected on the outside.)

It’s time we normalize the fear because when people feel it, they think they are the only one. They're not.

Quote: Being afraid is normal when you're trying something new

Being afraid of making changes and leaving your comfort zone is something everyone feels. Your brain is wired to make sure you stay in your comfort zone and fear is how it does its work-- even when there really is nothing to be afraid of.

Being afraid and doing it anyways means looking fear in the face, stepping into the unknown, and living your life to the fullest – and it is where some pretty cool things can happen. (I speak from experience.)

Most people won’t go here. They are too attached to their comfort and are letting fear drive. They sacrifice their ‘what could be’ for ‘what already is.’

They live by default.

But every time you feel a calling for something more and the fear, doubt, and indecision creep up, you have a choice.

You can let fear decide for you and stay put or you can push through and take a chance on something better.

Which will you choose?

If you’re ready press ‘go’ to create some magic in your life, you’ll definitely want a seat in my next Recreating You Journaling Workshop. It’s where I’ll teach you all the things I know about journaling and show you how to use it as a powerful tool in your own self-creation. It is life-changing. Please don’t miss it.
